Your New Library

North Webster Community Public Library is embarking on an exciting new chapter in the life of our community. After 15 years of renting space in the North Webster Community Center, we are finally building our own facility to better serve the growing and changing needs of our community. But we need your help to raise the $500,000 needed to meet a matching pledge from Dekko Foundation. Please donate generously to help build your new library.

Gifts are tax deductible. Gifts of $250 or more will be noted on the library’s “Wall of Giving.” Consider making a gift to honor or in memory of a loved one.

History of Growth

The library was established in 1978 in a tiny 18 x36 foot structure on the Festival Grounds with 3,000 donated books and staffed by volunteers with operating funds raised through community fundraisers and donations.

Then in 1987, the library doubled its size when it moved into the Tippecanoe Township Building. The library moved into our current rented facility in the North Webster Community Center in 2004 and in July of that year became a tax-supported public library. Since then there has been a 359% increase in patron visits with a 130% increase in circulation, 1,524% increase in programming, and 7,658% in computer usage. As you can see, more space is needed to meet the changing and growing needs of our community now and into the future. Please give generously.
